My hope is to inspire you to get in the kitchen and have an adventure. Make something you have never tried before.  Push yourself to make something you have always been intimidated to make but most importantly to have fun and make memories!

What’s been going on around here…

“What’s been going on around here?” you may be asking.  A whole lot of life and living with work, new house, school, and this crazy family.  It has been a while since I have touched this little place of mine, and I really do miss it.  This is the place where I share all my creativity with friends, family, and well all the others out there that have stumbled upon this blog.  Here’s a little insight on what’s been going on lately.

We moved into a new house in August (Yay!) and it has been a lot of work.  I have been using a lot of my time trying to make this new, unfamiliar place feel like home.   I am finally at a good point with almost everything in a place.  The kids have adjusted great to the new neighborhood and are starting to make new friends.  I am blessed to have a bigger kitchen to inspire me to create new recipes.  While I have been doing some new stuff, it’s still busy with work and life.  I  want to get started again and hope that I can get my creative juices flowing enough to make some great things to share with all of you.

In the meantime, I wanted to share a picture of the cake I made for Lucy’s 5th birthday!  She is obviously very much into unicorns at the moment:)  This cake is everything!  This is the first time I have ever had a hard time cutting the cake.  I was almost a little sad I had to destroy it!    I got the inspiration for this cake from a mixture of Pinterest and just Googling unicorn cake ideas.  I am so pleased with the way it all came together.

Also, I may have had a birthday back in April where I turned an age that ends in “0” which called for an epic cake!  I got the inspiration from this cake from I am Baker – she rocks the house with her creations!!

Thank you all for your continuous support, and I promise I will be back with some tasty recipes soon!
